What a response!
Back in February when we registered as a CIC, we set ourselves a target of 100 participants for our first public-entry RTI. This October, we find ourselves in the amazing position of already nearing that number of fantastic athletes descending on Sandown Beach in September 2027.
With that in mind, we have increased the number of available spaces to 200 (including relay spots)!
So, what does this mean? What is going to change?
Well, for you and the other amazing athletes taking part, it means being part of a special event which is already on the road to becoming a large fixture in the UK triathlon calendar. We will have the capability to organise more “fine touches” to our event, and more importantly increase our capability of raising money for local charities, projects and causes.
Already, the RTI team is busy working away in the background to look at ways to improve on our original plans, and how to make our sport and event more accessible. We are not just catering to the super-fast (although we do appreciate seeing rapid times and maximum effort), we are making sure that everyone gets a chance to experience this amazing sport, regardless of their background or needs.
Thank you to all of you that have signed up already. We are looking forward to meeting the new members of the RTI family and putting on an awesome event for you.
P.S. We have some more cool announcements coming up for participants.
